We feed between 3,500 to 5,000 homeless every year on Thanksgiving. Check out our promotional video, I am at toward the end at 4:07 dressed as "Howdy the Clown".
According to the Institute for the Study of Homelessness and Poverty there are 2.3 to 3.5 million homeless in the U.S.; approximately 80,000 each night in Los Angeles alone. We got Thanksgiving covered, please pick a night.
I also am a member of the Red Cross Disaster Services Human Resource. I get called out to help in disasters. Santa Monica is the chapter that I associated with when I moved out from Texas.
